What is Public Sector?
The Public Sector is about the part of society's activities that is run by the state or the municipality to provide various community services to the residents. It includes, among other things, schools, healthcare, the judiciary and social services. Within the public sector, there are various organizations and authorities that are responsible for providing various services and contributing to the efficient functioning of society. Examples of authorities in the public sector are the Swedish Tax Agency, the Social Insurance Agency and the Police. Just as there are different options in image editing software, there are also different actors in the public sector who perform similar services but with different orientations and areas of responsibility. It is important that the public sector functions efficiently and that citizens have access to the services they need for society to function smoothly.
