What is ABAP?

ABAP is a programming language used primarily to create business applications on various SAP platforms. The language is used to create programs and reports that can handle various business processes within a company. ABAP can also be used to adapt existing SAP applications or create new functions according to the company's needs. There are other programming languages ​​that offer similar functions to ABAP within the SAP environment. Examples of such languages ​​include Java, SQL, and Python. Although ABAP is specifically designed to work with SAP systems, it can be beneficial to have knowledge of other languages ​​to be able to integrate different systems and platforms.
