What is XHTML?

XHTML is a set of rules for how an HTML document should be written. These rules enable browsers to interpret and display HTML documents correctly. XHTML is used to create structured and semantic code. Structured code means that the code is structured in a logical and uniform way, while semantic code means that the code contains information about what it actually contains. Compared to other technologies, XHTML is more strict and demanding, but this also makes it a more robust and sustainable technology.
