What is SSH?

SSH (Secure Shell) is a protocol for secure communication over a network. It is used to authenticate users and encrypt the communication between users and the server. SSH is often used to log into remote servers, but it can also be used to run commands on remote servers or to create a secure tunnel between two networks. Compared to other technologies used to secure communication over a network, such as VPN (Virtual Private Network), SSH is one of the most secure and reliable technologies. However, there are some downsides to SSH, such as being a bit more complicated to set up and use compared to VPNs.
