What is Rapid Prototyping?

Rapid Prototyping is a technique used to quickly create physical prototypes of products using computer-controlled machines. By using CAD models, prototypes can be created efficiently, saving time and reducing costs compared to traditional manufacturing methods. There are various methods of Rapid Prototyping, including 3D printing, CNC machining and casting. Each method has its own advantages and uses depending on the complexity and material requirements of the specific product. Compared to traditional prototyping, Rapid Prototyping can quickly provide feedback and the opportunity to test and iterate different design concepts. This enables companies to rapidly develop new products and improve existing products. Some examples of companies using Rapid Prototyping include Apple, Nike and SpaceX. These companies use technology to accelerate their product development and create innovative products that meet customer needs.
