What is Openlayers?

OpenLayers is a JavaScript library for displaying interactive maps in the browser. The library contains different layers to display different types of map data, e.g. OpenStreetMap, Google Maps, Bing Maps, and several others. OpenLayers is open source and free to use. OpenLayers is a very useful tool for viewing and analyzing map data. It is easy to use and has many different functions. OpenLayers is also a good skill to have to be able to compare different maps and data.
