What is ISTQB?

ISTQB is an international organization working to promote the quality of software testing. They have developed a certification scheme for testers, and their certification is the most recognized in software testing. ISTQB's certification is divided into three levels: Foundation, Advanced and Expert. To obtain the certification, one must complete a theoretical and practical examination. The theory test consists of 60 questions and you must get at least 50% correct to pass. Practical examination consists of testing a program using a given test plan. You must not have more than 5 mistakes in the test plan to pass.
