What is ETABS?

ETABS is a computer program used to perform analysis and design of buildings. The program makes it possible to carry out structural analyses, as well as to simulate and evaluate different load cases on a building. ETABS can be used to calculate, among other things, bearing capacity, deformed shapes, and construction details. There are many different programs that offer similar functions to ETABS. Examples of other structural analysis programs are SAP2000, Robot Structural Analysis and StaadPro.
